Jun 11, 2006 (Tokyo, Japan) - “La Belle” Wins three awards at the ‘Short Shorts Film Festival’
Seleceted from over 70 short films from 2,200 submissions throughout the world “La Belle” wins the Best Short Award (National Competition), the Governor of Tokyo Award, and the Super Dry Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival, a qualifying film festival for the Academy Awards. The Super Dry Award is a special prize designed to support Japanís emerging filmmakers. Japanese beverage maker, Asahi and the Short Shorts Film Festival provides a scholarship program to the winner. This program includes 3,000,000 yen to make another short film to be screened at next year's festival.


Jan 29, 2006 (Park City, Utah) - “La Belle” Composer Wins Gold Medal at the ‘Park City Film Music Festival’
Composer Vincent Gillioz has been awarded the Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Film Music Composition for Independent Film for the films: Feature films “Erosion”, “God's Waiting List”, “Living with Uncle Ray”, “Candy Stripers”, “Headhunter” and the short films “Made Incorrect”, “Bushido” and “La Belle Dame Sans Merci” at the Park City Film Music Festival, a new independent film festival, presenting film music competition for both independent and studio-sponsored films.


Aug 7, 2005 (Los Angeles, Calif.) - “La Belle” Selected for ‘9th Annual Los Angeles International Short Film Festival’
“La Belle Dame Sans Merci” has been selected to participate in the 9th Annual Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. Recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the festival is the largest short film festival in the world. Last year's festival attracted over 1,100 film entries from all over the world, and drew more than 10,000 attendees, filmmakers and moviegoers alike.


July 21, 2005 (Palm Springs, Calif.) - “La Belle” Selected for ‘11th Annual Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films’
After receiving more than 2,400 submissions, the 11th Annual Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films, has selected “La Belle Dame Sans Merci” as part of its official program. According to the organizers, “the Festival and its associated Film Market is not only ranked as one of North America's largest but it is also noted as one of the most filmmaker friendly and finest organized shorts festivals in the World.”


July 18, 2005 (San Diego, Calif.) - “La Belle” Wins Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Film Award at ‘Comic-Con’
“La Belle Dame Sans Merci” was awarded Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Film by the paneled jury at this yearís Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI:IFF). A total of 59 films were featured in this yearís festival, with 11 entered in the Science Fiction/Fantasy category. At the film festival, director Hidetoshi Oneda, producer Frank Mele (Special, starring Michael Rapaport), and production designer Nathan Amondson (Land of Plenty, Don't Come Knocking, directed by Wim Wenders) answered questions from the audience about the making of the film.


June 18, 2005 (San Diego, Calif.) - “La Belle” Selected for ‘Comic-Con’
“La Belle Dame Sans Merci” has been selected as one of 59 films that will compete in the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI:IFF). This is the 6th annual and first juried film festival of Comic-Con, the biggest comic book convention in America. All screenings take place in Room 26AB on the top floor of the Convention Center. “La Belle” will be screened on July 15th, between 3:45 and 4:15. A short Q & A session with director Hidetoshi Oneda, producer Frank Mele, and production designer Nathan Amondson will follow.


April 25, 2005 (Marina Del Rey, Calif.) - “La Belle” Wins Audience Award
At a poolside awards ceremony that opened the LOHAS Forum, “La Belle Dame Sans Merci” received the ‘Inspiration Short Audience Award’ of the Inspiration Film Festival. Audiences were asked to vote on a scale of 1 to 5, for each short after the April 24th screening. Director Hidetoshi Oneda was there to accept the award.


April 05, 2005 (Santa Monica, Calif.) - “La Belle” Selected for ‘Inspiration Film Festival’
The Inspiration Film Festival, Santa Monica, California, announced that “La Belle Dame Sans Merci” has been officially selected for their shorts program. Although this is the first year for the festival, over 700 films were submitted, of which 475 were short films. Of these only eight were selected by the jury. The film will open the program on April 24th, 2:00 pm, at Laemmle's Monica 4 Theater, a well known “Art House” theatre amongst the trendy Santa Monica crowd. This will be the world premiere for the film.
